Frozen Bubbles
Minus 10 degrees and I want to take photos but I am a little tired of going out every day in the frigid cold so I spy my grandson's bubbles left over from the summer. I go outside and start blowing bubbles and lo and behold some land and hold their shape - voila - something new to photograph!
Blowing in the Wind
These tall grasses along Georgian Bay in Canadia were blowing in the wind and I created more of a movement by shooting them using a technique called cameera blur.
LIghted Stools
These lighted stools caught my eye as I walked past them at Old Orchard Beach.
Mystery Layers
A moment in time. This was just before a huge downpour that had me running for cover but I took my time to set up the shot and squeeze the shutter. I love the depth of this shot and how far you can see into it. Every time I look at this image I see somehting else. The simple beauty is from the monochromatic cobalt blue and the mystery is from the subject. Hard to believe but this is an antique car head light.
Light patterns
An antique car headlight gives me this incredible light and dark pattern.
Abstract in Greys
Movement. All created by a technique when I creat the image by moving the camera to create the blur - a sense of movement an dmotion is then created from a static object. This is a beautiful stone wall at Billings Farm National Park in Woodstock, VT. All the greys, blacks and touches of almost blue grey are melded togehter.
On The Move
Twirling with motion and emotion - moving across the image creating energy - where did it come from? where is it going? Movement within stillness - a moment not to be repeated but to be remembered.
Rusty Glow
This rust almost seemed alive as it meanered along this metal wall. The glow is from the light hitting it just right.
Intersections
Abstracts and Closeups are so much fun to play with and this is one of my favorites. Hard to believe that this is a kitchen whisk.
Flower Tips
This is a macro of just the tips of flowers, shot in the early morning light.
Summer Flowers
This is a blur - yes, on purpose to give the flowers this effect. I call it camera twirling as I use a zoom lens that I spin while taking the image.
Foliage Reflecition
Kent Pond in Killington, VT on a gorgeous fall day with incredible color and the reflections were mesmerizing. I coulnd't take my eyes of of them.
The Flowers and the Fence
At Musterfield Farm in New Hampshire the flowers grow in abundance along this gorgeous old wood fence. The explosion of color is incredible and when the sun is shining brightly overhead I usually start playing with flower twirlilng to creat some abstract shots.
Tulip
this is a tulip reflected in a piece of mylar, which is bendy and gives this effect.
Iris Reflections
This was taken indoors on a rainy day. I used bendy mylar reflective material to creative this funky reflection.
Japenese Iris
Reaching 1
This grass was reaching through this fence and trying to see what was on the other side.
